So what is a "Green Wedding"?
A green wedding is when you consider the
effect your wedding will have on the planet
and local community.
Then to reduce your impact you incorporate
ecologically and socially responsible products
and services into the wedding planning
process and celebration.
The result will be a celebration of love not only
for yourselves, your family and friends, but for
the entire Earth.

Hawaii is one of the most
beautiful places in the world,
let's keep it that way.
Add some "green" to your
wedding!

We would be happy to assist you in
coordinating a wedding that is
beautiful as well as green.
At Katy Castillo Weddings all of our wedding services offer the option of
incorporating environmentally friendly choices into your wedding.

Going green doesn't mean you have to compromise on your big day,
though. The good news is that there are plenty of green options for
creating a uniquely elegant and personal wedding that you envision.

Here are some tips to go green at your wedding....
  • Hold your ceremony and reception at the same location
  • If you decide on separate locations for ceremony and reception,
offer  transportation to your guests such as van, bus, or trolley
  • Serve local, seasonal, and organic foods and beverages
  • Use glasses, dishes, and linens rather than throwing away disposable
  • Purchase locally grown flowers, even better if they are organic
  • When choosing wedding rings - consider socially and environmentally
    responsible options.

Don’t stress out about incorporating green into every detail of your
wedding plans!
The important thing is to do what is practical for you. Consider your
options, and try your best to incorporate earth-friendly practices into your
planning.
