Articles about green weddings are everywhere. The Honolulu Advertiser
featured a story about
green weddings in Hawaii. The Knot offers
tips to have a stylish green wedding. Check it out if you have a minute.

It's great to see couples taking the environment into consideration as they plan for their big day.
So many wedding professionals offer eco-friendly products and services, there are a lot of
options out there.

Hopefully, green weddings are not just a trend but will become a new way to think about planning celebrations.

Much Aloha!

A Step Back in Time..

I recently had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with
Susan Mirikitani, Executive Director of
The Bayer Estate.

This charming historic home, built in 1936, sits along the sea in
East Honolulu. The property is very secluded and private.
The Estate is wonderful, from the moment you enter the gate you
will feel relaxed and comfortable. The house has been decorated
with beautiful furnishings, the attention to detail is amazing,
nothing has been over looked!

I loved the bride's & groom's suites, a perfect retreat before the I dos.
(pictured right)

On the day of the wedding the property is decorated with lovely fresh flowers and greenery.
All of the flower arrangements and greenery are made exclusively for each event.

The oceanfront backyard is beautifully landscaped and is the perfect place for an intimate
wedding ceremony.

The Bayer Estate is a perfect location for a couple searching for a unique and personal
wedding celebration reminiscent of old Hawaii. Some have said the property has an almost
magical feel and I couldn't agree more!

Aloha!

When couples plan an outdoor wedding in Hawaii the most common time they choose is sunset.
Keep in mind...
-Our sunrises and sunsets vary depending on the time of year.
-If you're ceremony will take place in Waikiki during the winter months the sun sets on the ocean,
summer months the sun sets behind the mountain range.
http://www.timeanddate.com/ provides down to the minute sunrise & sunset times.

Aloha!
